Verdict

Verdict

SNOWING sets the form standard with her rating of 98 and her career-best effort to date came when third in Listed company over C&D. Outclassed subsequently in the Cheveley Park, the drop back into a maiden represents a fine opportunity for her to get off the mark. Taranga looks a fascinating newcomer as a half-sister to a pair of Group 1 winners in Tarnawa and Tahiyra. Similar comments apply to Anymore, a full-sister to Whirl, and Lady Letita, who is out of Triumph Hurdle winner Burning Victory.

SNOWING was used as a pacemaker in the Group 1 Cheveley Park Stakes at Newmarket last time and was comfortably held, but had been in good form beforehand, finishing close third in the Listed Ingabelle Stakes over this C&D. Aidan O’Brien won this last year, and his filly has shown more than enough to win a maiden. Anymore is another Ballydoyle representative and makes her debut as a well-bred Wootton Bassett filly. She is a full-sister to top-class performer Whirl and comes from a family with plenty of stamina, so this trip should be a suitable starting point. Sensational Filly showed promise when third on her Dundalk debut, beaten three and a half lengths by a more experienced rival. She should improve for that experience, with more to come for top juvenile handler Paddy Twomey.
