Verdict

Verdict

It will be interesting to see how North Lodge fares on his first appearance since December 2023 and Alan King's gelding has been given a decent chance by the handicapper if fully firing. However, it is his stable companion BELIEVITANDUCAN who is preferred. The four-year-old benefited from stepping up in trip at Plumpton and a 4lb rise appears more than fair. Onewaywest is progressive and could have more to offer on his hat-trick bid, while Kap Boy and Jus De Citron are others to consider.

An open race where ONEWAYWEST is chosen to complete the hat trick. Though he's gone up another 11lb for his latest victory the form of the race has already been boosted and he has already proven himself versatile ground wise. Hamsiyann bounced back to form when returned to a quicker surface last time and still has mileage in his mark based on his useful flat form so he could provide the main danger if the rain stays away. Believitanducan is another who has been thriving since a switch from the Flat and should remain competitive after a 4lb rise for his latest win. He can fight for a place with North Lodge who is thrown in on his best form but may just need this after a huge lay off.
