Verdict

Verdict

The three-year-olds PLAID and Runman are the most attractive propositions as they get 5lb from their two elder rivals. The latter has won three of his six previous races and takes a drop in class. Nevertheless, the former has been more highly tried and this represents a much easier assignment than she has been accustomed to off late. Nesthorn seems more versatile regarding ground than Green Cape and he shades preference to take third place.

Watch out for: Runman (4)

This seems likely to go to one of the two 3yos, Plaid and RUNMAN, with choosing between them not easy. Drying ground might work in the favour of the Gosden runner more and it's worth noting he adapted well to winning in a small field at Newbury two starts back - that's form that has worked out well. Plaid put in some good late work at York last time and could still be progressing so she's the danger. Nesthorn, back to form at York last time, comes in as third choice but might be vulnerable to the younger duo.
