Verdict

BYE BYE NOW was a beaten favourite on her latest start but is a previous C&D winner. Successful here last March, the selection finished a solid second at Bellewstown in early July and has had a break since being beaten at Down Royal. Caffu Zafeen is the form horse, having won twice recently, including once at this course. Out of a German Listed winner whose half-brother Zafeen was a Group 1 winner, he was rated 75 at his peak but his best form is over six furlongs. Blue Anthem is also worth a second look.

Watch out for: Caffu Zafeen (1)

The top weight Caffu Zafeen is an obvious player in his bid for a hat-trick but he's got an 8lb higher mark to deal with now and he could be left vulnerable. Happy Henry is to be considered but he's turning out just two days after finishing third at Bellewstown. The best bet looks to be BYE BYE NOW, in fine form on the AW early in the year and given a break since running below form at Down Royal when last seen in July.
