Verdict

A strong novice, Ash Tree and Blue Flight are needing more now they're penalised after making winning debuts and it seems likely this will be going to either SORRENGAIL or Speed Of Sound, fourth and third respectively at the Newmarket July course on debut. We'll take the Appleby runner to reverse form having very much caught the eye on that first run. Her dam is related to the same connections multiple Group/Grade scorer Space Blues and she could easily be competing at a higher level after a good win here. Speed Of Sound is very much respected as the main danger - she was actually sent off favourite in that Newmarket contest. Don't underestimate a much better showing from Cut And Sew, who found 5f too sharp on debut and is expected to relish the extra furlong here while runners from her yard often comes on a ton for their initial effort.
